The Iron Fist of Marvel Season 2 continues the heroic journey of K-One-Mon's live weapon. In March 2017, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) became the fourth and last defender of Netflix in the film world of Marvel. However, the Immortal Iron Fist was not welcomed with open arms, either in his own show or by fans in real life. However, Season 1 did tell the story of Danny Rand. Orphaned at the age of 10 when a plane carrying Danny and his parents crashed into the Himalayas, the billionaire grew up in the mystical city of Kun-Lun. After spending 15 years training kung fu and then gaining the magic power of the Iron Fist, Danny abandoned his role as protector of K-one-Mon and returned to New York.
Danny was not warmly welcomed. Ward and Joy Meachum, who ran Rand Enterprises publicly, institutionalized Danny, while the Main took action against their nemesis. Danny was finally reinstated as the majority owner of his business, but he quickly proved he did not have the business acumen to be an effective leader. Danny then learned that The Hand had long ago infiltrated Rand Enterprises and that Harold Meachum (David Wenham), the business partner of Danny's father, was still alive. Harold died of cancer in 2004 but was resurrected by hand and controlled Rand from the shadows, handling his son Ward as his representative.

However, Danny met Colleen Wing, a kung-fu instructor who would become his romantic partner and in the fight against crime. Danny then learned that Colleen had been raised by the hand and that her instructor was Bakuto (Ramon Rodriguez), one of the leaders of the evil organization, which led the couple to part for a while . Danny's best friend from K-one-Lun, Davos, also appeared in New York and faced Iron Fist. Davos was defeated but eventually recruited Joy Meachum to his side against Danny. Eventually, Danny and Colleen defeated the evil that plagued Rand Enterprises and Ward killed his father and claimed control of the company while Bakuto was also apparently killed. His company made the decision, Danny then decided to return to Kun-Lun with Colleen, to discover that the ancient city had completely disappeared from this dimensional plan.
As a character, Danny was hard to find for fans. He was fast, stubborn and irrational. Even Colleen, the person closest to him, often found him frustrating and immature. Still, there was definitely room to grow, and by the time he realized that his negligence was making K-one-Lun disappear, Danny began to take steps to grow up and become the hero that he was supposed to be.
