After years of facing fertility struggles, Gabrielle Union is finally a mother.
The “Breaking In” star, 46, took to Instagram Thursday to introduce her new bundle of joy with husband Dwayne Wade, 36, to the world. Their baby girl was born via surrogate.
“We are sleepless and delirious but so excited to share that our miracle baby arrived last night via surrogate and 11/7 will forever be etched in our hearts as the most loveliest of all the lovely days,” Union captioned a picture of the parents cuddling their newborn.
She continued: “Welcome to the party sweet girl,” including lyrics from Bill Withers’ “Lovely Day” to signify her daughter’s birthday.
The couple have not revealed her name yet.

Union has been vocal about her fertility journey over the years. During the summer, the actress opened up on “Dr. Oz” about her struggle with past pregnancies.
“I was always having these early miscarriages. Some through IVF and some, you know, just naturally,” she said, adding that she lost track of how many miscarriages she’s experienced – maybe as many as eight or nine.
In her 2017 book “We’re Going to Need More Wine,” the actress discussed her battles with her body while trying to conceive with Wade: “For three years, my body has been a prisoner of trying to get pregnant.”
In August, Union revealed it was actually a type of endometriosis called adenomyosis that impacted her fertility, Essence reported.

The couple married in August 2014 in front of friends and family, including the likes of Kevin Hart, LeBron James, Chris Bosh, John Legend, Ludacris and La La Anthony.
Wade missed the Miami Heat’s game against San Antonio on Wednesday night for personal reasons. The team sent their congratulations and the first of many onesies.

“Congratulations, @DwyaneWade & @itsgabrielleu! We have something on the way for your #ViceViceBaby!” the team tweeted.
Union and Wade are the latest celebs to turn to surrogacy in the wake of health struggles.
In January, Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West welcomed their third child, Chicago West, via surrogate after the reality star suffered from placenta accreta.
