Gary Numan canceled his concert in Cleveland, Ohio on Monday night after the tour bus was involved in a "fatal accident" that resulted in the death of a 91-year-old man.

Cleveland Police told News 5 Cleveland (via Pitchfork) that the unidentified old man was pushing a cart across a pedestrian crossing on Superior Avenue, near East 9th Street – near the place of the House of Blues where bus turned right and made contact with the 91-year-old man, who died on the scene.

The blast added that a priest from a nearby church came to the scene to administer the latest rites for the victim. The 45-year-old bus driver was not arrested as a result of the accident, but police continue to investigate the incident. It is not known if Numan was on the bus during the accident.

Shortly after the accident, Numan announced that the Cleveland concert on Monday night had been canceled.

"We are all devastated by the fatal crash involving our tour bus earlier in the day," Numan tweeted. "All of us are filled with a sadness that made it impossible to think about playing our show tonight, and out of respect that would have been completely wrong."

Numan continued: "For the moment, all we can think of is the people affected by this terrible tragedy and for them, we send all our love.
