Geoffrey Owens accepted an offer from Tyler Perry to work on the director's TV show "The Haves and the Have Nots".

A Perry representative confirmed to HuffPost that Owens will be filming in Atlanta, Georgia, and will play a recurring role in the series. He will play in ten episodes.

Perry tweeted about "The Cosby Show" star earlier this week, praying to join "OWN's number one next week!"

It is unclear when Owens' episodes "The Haves and the Have Nots", a drama broadcast since 2013 that follows the intersection of the rich and the poor, will be broadcast.

Owens, who was recently "hired" by Fox News for working at a Trader Joe grocery store, first responded to the call with humor, telling Entertainment Tonight that the offer Perry was "pretty cool".

"I mean, that kind of sounded like he was saying," Come work with me. " I am skeptical. Like really? Are you saying "Come work with me"? Because we have never worked together before, "said Owens. "So it's a very, very generous thing for him to say. And we'll see what happens with that. But it's encouraging.
