ATLANTA – Just weeks before election day, President Donald Trump reminds voters of his support for Republican Gov. candidate Brian Kemp.
Kemp and Democrat Stacey Abrams are in a tight race for the governor of Georgia.

Trump tweeted Saturday that Kemp had his "strong support".
The President said:
"The Georgian state secretary, Brian Kemp, will be a great governor. He was successful in everything he did and prepared for this very difficult and complex job for many years. He has my strong endorsement. His opponent is totally unqualified. Destroy a great state! "

Trump for the first time approved Kemp on July 20, before his second round with Gop with Cagle Cagle.
Brian Kemp is a candidate for governor of the Grand State of Georgia. The primary is Tuesday. Brian is tough on crime, strong border and illegal immigration He loves our military and veterinarians and protects our second amendment. I give him my full and total endorsement.

Channel 2 Action News reported last week about the latest polls showing Kemp and Abrams tied.
STORIES TRENDS:
On October 11, the two candidates remained locked in a tight race at the governor's leadership, according to an Atlanta Journal Journal and Constitution. Channel 2 Action News poll that showed fewer and fewer voters undecided voters.

The poll showed that Kemp was ahead of Abrams from 47.7% to 46.3%, a statistically significant difference between the survey's 2.8 margin error points.
The libertarian Ted Metz had 2.3% support, and only 4% of the voters are undecided.
The September 6 Channel 2 / AJC poll showed that candidates were stuck at 45% with 7% undecided.
