Georgia fired the baseball player who allegedly makes "derogatory comments about the breed" against Georgian quarterback Justin Fields in Georgia's 38-12 win over Tennessee last weekend

The school announced the dismissal of first baseman Adam Sasser in a brief statement Wednesday afternoon. Georgia's statement does not detail what led to the dismissal of Sasser, but a report from UGASports.com earlier this week said Sasser was the student-athlete being the subject of a investigation by the school following alleged comments to Fields.

"We are aware of a reported incident this weekend involving one of our student-athletes, and although we can say what we can say about this incident at this point, I want to emphasize again that we let's not tolerate discriminatory behavior, "Georgia AD Greg McGarity said in a statement Monday. "The Office for Equal Opportunities of the University thoroughly examines all reported violations of our non-discrimination and anti-harassment policy to ensure an appropriate response."

Fields is a freshman in the Bulldogs and was one of the top rated QBs of the 2018 recruiting class. Sasser was one of the best hitters of the Georgia baseball team last season.
