ATHENS, GA – Back left Solomon Kindley took part in training on Tuesday for the second match of Georgia and was not left out of Saturday's game at the 13th SML.
Kindley suffered a knee injury right at the start of the overwhelming victory over Vanderbilt. He has a slight sprain in the inner collateral ligament, but seems to improve.
"Yesterday, he has surprisingly moved well and today, he has moved well," said coach Kirby Smart. "I still have some way to go and a lot of guys are working around it."
Trey Hill is ranked second on the depth map behind Kindley. Hill is also the main replacement for center Lamont Gaillard, who briefly left the Vanderbilt game with a painful right hand to return to the second quarter.
The Bulldogs have had mixed news about their defensive line. Reservists David Marshall is injured left foot against Vandy and is dubious. Marshall, Jonathan Ledbetter's top substitute, is one of Georgia's best race stops. He averages 15 to 20 snaps per game.
Smart said Malik Herring and Jay Hayes shared Marshall's role in the practice.
Smart is hoping Devonte Wyatt, the first replacement for defensive tackle Tyler Clark, will come back from a leg injury that sent him out of the Commodore game.
"He's been running for two days," Smart said. "I could not coach, but I think it's improving."
