A cruise line indicates that German pop singer Daniel Kueblboeck has disappeared at sea after leaving one of his ships off the coast of Canada.
Aida Cruises says The Associated Press In an email that Kueblboeck sent by plane from the cruise ship AIDAluna Sunday morning (9 September).
Aida said the ship was stopped and returned to the place off Newfoundland where the 33-year-old man reportedly entered the water.
Kueblboeck achieved a short-term fame in 2003 as a candidate for the national talent show Germany is looking for superstar.
The company states that "intensive research" is underway in collaboration with the Canadian Coast Guard.
