Get to know the new Magnum P.I. With I mustache you a question

There's a new Magnum P.I. in the city. Jay Hernandez takes over the role of Thomas Magnum in the remake in 2018 of Tom Selleck and it's a new show, things will be different, including facial hair.

"Tom Selleck has established it, he has made it his own, we have to do something a little different," said Hernandez about his lack of mustache. The new Magnum has a goatee, as evidenced by Hernandez's video above at 2018 San Diego Comic-Con.

What is different? Jonathan Quayle Higgins III, played by John Hillerman in the original series, is now Juliet Higgins, played by Weeks Perdita.

"I do not wear a lot of long khaki socks … This Higgins is, she is a bit masculine because she is rather hard, but her feminine energy brings a new dynamic to the group. It is a bit authoritarian … But she is strong and independent Dame with a mysterious past, "said Weeks.

If you're still a little skeptical about the remake, which is understandable considering the number of remakes, rework and reboots, Hernandez has a message for you.

"My message is just if you're a little skeptical, watch the first episode, and we'll convince you," said Hernandez.

Watch the video above to learn more about the actors and know their personalities. New Magnum P.I. also stars Zachary Knighton, Stephen Hill and Tim Kang.

Magnum P.I. Preview on Monday, September 24th at 9pm on CBS.
