DENVER – Bruce Bochy shook his head for a number of reasons when Madison Bumgarner's hand was broken during his last start in the spring. The manager returned to Bumgarner's domination and what this season could be for the Big Fella.
Bochy's vision comes true, not under the wet and changeable spring sky, but in the heat (and sometimes the fog) of June and July
Bumgarner did not win at Coors Field on Monday night . In fact, he and the Giants suffered a 5-2 defeat that had to be frustrating given the nature of Colorado's decisive three-round rally in the seventh inning.

Bochy finished Bumgarner's play after 89 shots, a decision likely influenced by the fact that he had not removed Nolan Arenado in four platform appearances. Reyes Moronta will face the biggest baseball killer with the bases loaded and no one will come out.
Moronta walked Arenado over five lengths to halve the Giants' advance. Moronta seemed to avoid disaster, even though the tie-up scored when Trevor Story dug into a double play, and then inducted Ian Desmond a-hopperper for what should have been the third outing.
But Crawford sailed his pitch Blackon scored from third to give the Rockies the lead
Colorado scored twice more than Ty Blach in the eighth to seal it.
