Gisele Bundchen explains when Tom Brady told her that her ex-girlfriend was pregnant with her child

Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady have been married for almost a decade, but their relationship had a difficult start in 2006.

Brady, 41, had just parted from actress and model Bridget Moynahan, pregnant her child at the time.

In his new book, Lessons: my way to a meaningful lifeBundchen remembers when she learned that Brady had a child with her ex.

"Two months into the beginning of our relationship, Tom told me that the ex-girlfriend was pregnant," writes the 38-year-old model. "The next day, the news was everywhere and I had the impression that my world had been upset."

Moynahan and Brady welcomed their son, Jack, now 11, in 2007. Bundchen and Brady were married in 2009 and are parents of Benjamin, 8, and Vivian, 5.

Bundchen has also recently opened to People about his relationship with Moynahan, 47, saying, "I'm very grateful for [Bridget]. I know it was difficult, but I could not imagine my life without it. [Jack]. I call him my bonus kid.

She also congratulated Brady's eldest son, saying, "He opened my heart so that I did not even know that my heart could expand."

Bundchen opens more on very personal topics in his new book. In a recent Hello America interview on the biography, she burst into tears when talking about her panic attacks in her twenties.
