DETROIT – A day after announcing an important recall, General Motors announced on Saturday that it was recalling even more vehicles for a separate issue.
The Associated Press reported that GM is recalling about 41,000 vans and police vans because of loose brake pedals.
The recall involves Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks from 2015 to 2016, Chevrolet Silverado 1500 special service vans and certain Chevrolet Tahoe sport utility vehicles designed for police and other government agencies.
GM stated that the brake pedal pivot nut could loosen, preventing the driver from stopping.
The company did not say if the problem caused breakdowns.
Those who own the vehicles concerned can solve the problem for free at dealerships.
