SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Willie Taggart's tenure at Florida State could have been worse.

The Seminoles were defeated 24-3 in the first game of the season against Virginia Tech, had to give up a 13-point deficit against FCS Samford and were defeated by Syracuse 30-7 on Saturday.

After the defeat in Syracuse, FSU supporters were undecided about the state of the program and how poor the Seminoles were.

The story of December's Tallahassee Democrat on the Taggart deal was seen more than 2,000 times Saturday, and some people have even taken a step further.

Saturday night, different night GoFundMe accounts were created to "pay" the repurchase of Taggart if he was to be fired this season. Until now, a whopping $ 10 has been amassed.

The purchase of Taggart would be $ 21.25 million after this season, not counting the guaranteed money due to the assistants.

NoleSports reporter Wayne McGahee took:

That's an absolutely ridiculous answer to the first three games of Willie Taggart's tenure.

The team did not look very good, but Taggart inherited an offensive line and had to install two new systems in attack and defense and do what he could to fix a culture abandoned by Jimbo Fisher after 2017. season.

FSU will not fire Taggart this year, and should not, given what the administration has paid to bring it here and how ridiculous it would be to dismiss a coach after a single season.
