It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.
In honor of the 51st anniversary of the shooting of the first episode of Mister Rogers Neighborhood, Google Doodle has created a stop-motion video to celebrate Fred Rogers and the milestone year.
The animated short film features Rogers' voice in "Will not You Be My Neighbor?"
While the song is playing, an animated Rogers roams around a neighborhood while greeting his friends. The clip also includes some cameos from Neighborhood of Make-Believe favorites like King Friday XIII.
The video ends with a message of self acceptance from Rogers.
"You help make every day a special day by being yourself," says Rogers. "There is no one in the world who looks like you, and people can love you exactly as you are."
The first episode of Mister Rogers Neighborhood was filmed on September 21, 196, but was not broadcast until February 19, 1968.
"I'm so excited that Google celebrates Fred and Mister Rogers Neighborhood with its charming homage, "said Rogers' wife, Joanne, in a statement to Forbes. "This walk in the neighborhood is delicious and the kindness of Fred is beautifully captured in the Doodle."

Rogers, the beloved television icon known to millions of people, died in 2003 at the age of 74.
He was recently the subject of a documentary entitled You are not my neighbor? TIt premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.
Tom Hanks has also signed on to play the pioneering role of children's television in the upcoming biopic. You are my friend.
