Governor Jerry Brown declared Monday 's state of emergency for Lake County due to a fire that burned 22 structures and caused evacuations in rural Northern California.
The Pawnee Fire, which erupted on Saturday near the Clearlake Oaks community, destroyed 22 buildings and threatened 600 others.
By Monday morning, about 8,200 acres had already burned and there was no containment on the fire. The authorities ordered people to evacuate all homes in the Spring Valley area, where about 3,000 people live.
"The fire has caused power outages, forced road closures and continues to threaten critical infrastructure," said Brown 's emergency statement.

A second fire in Tehama County consumed 3,000 acres, but no building was burned. The so-called Lane Fire threatened 200 structures and some homes were evacuated, said Cox. It is 20% content.
CREEK FIRE
A fire in neighboring Shasta County has increased to 1,300 acres and is contained at 30 percent. The so-called stream fire did not damage any structure but evacuated quickly.

Matthew Henderson, who was in the area taking pictures, said he saw the fire jump on a road to a place, briefly cutting off access to a part of Spring Valley until the firefighters repel him.
