COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) –

Governor Henry McMaster has issued evacuation orders for some of the counties located along the coast of South Carolina.

In effect at noon Saturday, evacuation orders were lifted for all residents of Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley counties, with Edisto Beach in Colleton County.

Evacuation orders for areas in Georgetown and Horry counties remain in effect as officials work to assess areas of potential danger.

Residents who return are asked to be patient. We can expect long travel times, grounded power lines and stagnant water in and around roads.
