For many Americans, Thanksgiving is an opportunity to share what you are grateful for and to spend time with those you cherish most.

It could be your friends, your family or even a complete stranger and for three consecutive years, that's exactly what a grandmother from Phoenix, Arizona did.

In 2016, Wanda Dench accidentally invited Jamal Hinton to his Thanksgiving dinner, taking him for his grandson.

Usually, a wrong number would result in a sorry courtesy and the two people would never talk about it again.

Except that Wanda decided that it would be good for Jamal to come to his family dinner, which he happily accepted.

This continued until 2017, when Jamal was again invited to Wanda's family dinner.

Now, this unlikely friendship has had his third installment, was once again invited to Wanda's Thanksgiving holiday.

Jamal shared a new picture of him and Wanda together on Twitter, which quickly became viral.

It was without a doubt one of the healthiest stories of the last days of Thanksgiving and the rest of the internet agrees.

This heartwarming story captured the imagination of America and both were even interviewed by a local news channel.
