"Grimm" Spinoff in the works of NBC – The rebirth of a supernatural drama

The dust has barely fallen back into the spice shop, but things are starting to appear rather Grimm at NBC again.

The network is currently developing a spin-off of supernatural drama based on fairy tales, our sister site, Deadline Reports. The untitled project will focus on a female main character and include characters from the original series, as well as new ones.

GrimmNick Burkhardt realized that he belonged to a long line of "Grimms", ie killers of supernatural creatures known as "Wesen". He ended up bonding with many of these so-called monsters (and even begotten a child with one). Together, good Wesen and Nick (played by David Giuntoli) fought Wesen and the mysterious network of kingship that often financed them.

The finale of the series aired in March 2017, with a flash-forward showing that Nick's son, Kelly, would become a Grimm fighting alongside his father, his mother Adalind and his half-sister Diana, as well as triplets of Monroe and Rosalee.

Melissa Glen (Iron Fist by Marvel) will write the script and produce spin-offs, with the co-creators of the original Greenwalt and James Kouf series acting as consulting producers. Universal TV and Hazy Mills Productions, who produced the original Grimm, will be back to produce the spinoffs.
