NBC would be developing a spin-off of the fantastic procedural TV show Grimm, which lasted six seasons, with the new series should include a female lead. The original series featured David Giuntoli as Nick Burkhardt, a Portland-based police inspector, descended from a legendary line of monster hunters called Grimms.

Grimm was broadcast on NBC from 2011 to 2017. The favorite series of fans has never been a resounding success, but still has been a success in recording steady numbers throughout its six seasons during the often fatal period of Friday night. The series followed Nick as he investigated murders that still led him into a conflict with a strange creature. As Grimm, he alone could see them for what they really were. Over the years, Grimm managed to build a strong fan base with its well-developed world filled with unique monsters inspired by Fairy tales from Grimms as well as folklore from various cultures around the world.

Deadline reports that NBC is developing an untitled Grimm spin-off with Melissa Glenn serving as executive producer. Glenn wrote episodes of Marvel & # 39; s Iron Fist, The CW The beauty and the Beast, Hawaii Five-O and Influence. The spin-off, which should be centered on a female character, will introduce new characters and revive the existing characters of the original series. according to Deadline, the show will support the mythology established at Grimm. Until now, no actor has been associated with the project. Grimm Co-creators David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf will act as consulting producers.

Although GrimmThe finale of the series puts an end to all the difficulties and provides a fitting conclusion to Nick's story. There is still plenty of room to work with a new series. Grimm created a huge world, but could only show the public a small part of it. The six seasons of Grimm were put in Portland, which seemed like a melting pot for Wesen, the name given to the animal-like creatures Nick would meet while investigating the mysteries. A spin-off in a different setting could tell a whole new story with a whole new cast.

The series opened the door to more stories by not limiting the series to a single Grimm. Eventually, the show brought in other characters who turned out to be Grimms. A spin-off could explore the life of a Grimm woman as she tracks down the enemies of her ancestors and investigates her own mysteries.
