Gutfeld: Schumer Rips Trump, Trump

Greg Gutfeld said Monday that a recent tweet from Senator Charles Schumer showed that President Trump's critics "have no problem with the truth, but rather that Trump is saying it."

During the holiday weekend, Schumer (D-N.Y.) – the Senate's minority leader – tore Trump up for his response to a criticism by Chief Justice John Roberts.

Trump had previously attacked federal judge Jon Tigar as an "Obama judge" who had ruled against his order to deny certain asylum claims to the Mexican border.

Roberts said in a statement to the AP that there were "no Obama judges" or "Bush judges" and urged Trump to have introduced the subject of political parties into the system. judicial.

"I do not often agree with Chief Justice Roberts, especially with his seemingly very political partisan decisions on Citizens United, Janus and Shelby," Schumer wrote. "But I'm thankful today that he – almost alone among the Republicans – stood up to President Trump and an independent judiciary."

"They play the game: Homan says the migrant caravan is made up mostly of men looking for a job, not women and children.

Gutfeld said the tweet showed that Schumer was in fact in agreement with Trump, as the judges may be partisan and that it is acceptable to label them by party or ideology.

Gutfeld noted that Schumer had labeled Roberts a "Republican" and described some unfavorable decisions to the left as partisan, similar to the Citizens United decision on campaign funding.

"It's not just comical, it's a progress," Gutfeld said, adding that Schumer had basically written that "Trump's wrong and here's why I agree with him".
