Academy Award-nominated actress Hailee Steinfeld will star in this year's MTV EMA. Steinfeld, who also has a successful musical career, will also perform at this year's show in Bilbao, Spain.
Viacom's MTV has announced its 2018 host with a sketch on Facebook (see below). Steinfeld won the Best Push Act at the EMA last year. This year, she is named in the "Best Pop" category alongside Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello, Dua Lipa and Shawn Mendes.
Steinfeld's other MTV connections include a recent performance at the Isle of MTV event in Malta, where she performed a set including her debut single "Love Myself" and the platinum platinum double platinum.
"EMAs are a show where anything can happen," Steinfeld said. "I can not wait to host an evening filled with amazing artists, performances, surprises to me – let's do it, Bilbao!"
Steinfeld's upcoming roles in the film include Paramount's Bumblebee and Spiderman's Spider-Verse vocal cast. She is currently producing the original Dickinson series from Apple.

"We are delighted to have her as host for this year's MTV EMAs in Bilbao and we can not wait to see her brighten up the stage with her incredible energy."
The EMA takes place at the Bilbao Exhibition Center on 4 November.
