The FBI joined the search for a 13-year-old girl who, according to police, was kidnapped in front of his house in Lumberton, North Carolina. Investigators follow "a number of tracks" in the disappearance of Hania Aguilar, the FBI office in Charlotte announced in a press release.

Aguilar was waiting for members of her family to drive her to school on Monday when a witness saw a man force her to board a vehicle parked in their driveway. The man stole the vehicle with Aguilar inside, police said. One witness stated that the suspect was dressed in black and that he was wearing long sleeves and a yellow bandana covering his face.

The FBI described the vehicle as a green 2002 Ford Expedition with peeling paint on the bonnet and a Clemson sticker on the rear window. It has a South Carolina license plate that says NWS-984.

Captain Terry Parker of the Lumberton Police Department said that the case was under investigation as a kidnapping by a stranger. The FBI has announced that the Bureau of Investigations, Road Patrol and others are expected to join the search Tuesday.

"Right now, the neighborhood is terrified," said CBS affiliate Rickie Chavis, WNCN-TV. "It's a child, it's just not true."

Aguilar is a 5-foot Hispanic woman who weighs 126 pounds. She has black hair, brown eyes and braces. The last time she saw her, she was wearing blue jeans and a blue flowered shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Lumberton Police Department at (910) 671-3845.
