Former CIA director Michael Hayden was hospitalized this week after suffering a stroke, according to a statement from his foundation.
The Center for Intelligence, Politics and International Security Michael V. Hayden said Friday on behalf of Hayden's wife and family that Hayden had been a victim of stroke earlier in the week. his home, while offering little detail.
"He is receiving specialized medical care for which the family is grateful," the center said in a statement.
