Health officials warn customers after hepatitis A identified at an employee of a restaurant in Orlando

The Department of Health is warning patrons who visited a Disney Springs restaurant earlier this month to monitor their health after reporting that a food service worker had been identified with the condition. hepatitis A.

Everyone who dined at Morimoto Asia at 1600 East Buena Vista Drive from November 6th to 16th should monitor the symptoms of the infection, including "abdominal discomfort, dark urine, fever, diarrhea, and yellow eyes and skin," and consult a doctor if experimenting them, according to the DOH.

In case of exposure to infection, the administration of a vaccine within two weeks could prevent the disease, health officials said.

The Orange County Department of Health provides free hepatitis A vaccines to uninsured residents who make appointments in two locations:

  • 6101 Lake Ellenor Drive, Orlando, FL 32809 – only for ages 19 and over
  • W. Central Blvd., Orlando, FL 32805
