Misery Heathers the restart will finally see the light of day. The Paramount Network announced Thursday that a truncated version of the drama for teenagers will air for five Thursday October 25th Variety reports.
Despite the filming of 10 episodes, Paramount Network will only broadcast nine, the tenth being considered "too controversial" for the American public. The series will air for two hours each night until Monday, October 29th. The final will be immediately followed by a Heathersepisode of Battle Sync Lip featuring stars from the Melanie Field and Brendan Scannell series.
"I'm more than happy that the American public can finally see HeathersSaid Jason Micallef in a statement, "Of course, I wish the fans could see the 10th episode, but the producers and I are firmly convinced that we do not change the film, so it was considered too controversial. by the American public Yet every day at this job is a delightful dream, so it's hard to complain and what matters most is that fans can see the satire we all love as much. "
Before his linear debut on October 25th, HeathersThe first (and only?) Season will be available on the Paramount Network website starting Monday, October 22nd.
The often delayed Heathers reboot was originally developed for TV Land and was commissioned in January 2017. It was then transferred to the sister Paramount network, where it is expected to debut in March, but has been delayed as a result of the Parkland school shootout. The first was postponed to mid-July, but the series was completely abandoned (as we thought) in June. Paramount Network Development and Production President Keith Cox said the network "was not feeling well" about the satirical portrayal of violence in a high school restart. Apparently, there was a change of heart.
TVLine gave Heathers an "A-" magazine in February, based on preliminary press filters. Watch a new promo below:
