Controversial adaptation of Paramount Network Heathers is certainly not a true copy of the 1989 cult-classic film.
In an exclusive excerpt from EW, J.D. (played by Christian Slater in the film and performed by James Scully) enters Veronica's room (Grace Victoria Cox, taking over from Winona Ryder) to find her suspended from the ceiling. This is a familiar situation for all fans of the film, but the end is very different when restarting the television.
In the current issue of Weekly entertainmentoriginal Heathers Star Shannen Doherty talked about her initial hesitation about the restart – and why she finally chose to get involved in the production.
"My [team] I said: They're remaking Heathers and they want to know if it interests you, "she recalls in the magazine. "I said no, I do not know how you could ever, never do it again." But then she read the script. "I was blown away by the quality of her work and by[New[new[Nouveau[new Heathers creator Jason A. Heathers is currently available to watch Paramount Network's streaming services and will air on the network over a five-day period starting tonight.
