MADISON, Wisconsin – News 3 First Alert weather station continues to announce its warning day as the threat of heavy rain and flash floods threatens south-central Wisconsin again on Friday night and Saturday morning.
The flash flood watches were issued from 19h. Friday at 1 pm Saturday for a large part of the region.
We saw a bit of rain on Friday morning, but the main system still operates in the Upper Midwest. In doing so, moisture will be drawn from the Pacific and Gulf of Mexico, resulting in heavy precipitation that appears to target south-central Wisconsin, with the highest precipitation.
The Weather Prediction Center has highlighted much of the area at moderate risk of excessive rainfall until Saturday afternoon.
