DICKINSON, Texas (KTRK) –

Heavy rain all night caused street flooding in Dickinson towards Tuesday morning.

Water has accumulated outside the Hughes Road Elementary School and near a neighborhood. No water has entered the school interior.

Another Dickinson school, ISD, tweeted that it would start at the usual time, but that some bus lines might be late.

Clear Creek ISD also expected bus delays, but plans to operate classes on a regular schedule.

An RV park has also experienced floods in Dickinson. According to meteorologist Travis Herzog, parts of Galveston County received up to six inches of rain.

In Texas City, floods and high waters became a bigger problem, forcing the school district to cancel classes Tuesday.

The College of the Mainland has also announced its closure due to flooding.
