One of New York Comic-Con's most exciting events this year was the Hellboy panel, in which the star David Harbor (Strange things), his co-stars Daniel Dae Kim (Lost) and Sasha Lane (American honey), and Hellboy's creator, Mike Mignola, introduced fans to the first trailer of the next restart of the movie. Directed by Neil Marshall (Dog Soldiers), the film opposes Hellboy to Nimue, the queen of blood (Milla Jovovich), a former witch dedicated to revenge and the destruction of humanity.

• Ben Daimio was not very happy when he met Hellboy for the first time, saying, "I thought we were fighting monsters, but we were not working with them." You can expect to see an emphasis on the practical effects on CGI in the movie, with Harbor even casting a little shadow over Thanos by comparing his character with the big, purple villain of Avengers: Infinity War.
