While rumors continue to swirl in the DC Extended Universe, actor Henry Cavill posted an encrypted message on Instagram on Wednesday, which left many fans speculating about the fate of the actor's 35 years old, Superman.
"Today was exciting #Superman," titled Cavill in a clip of him wearing a "Krypton Lifting Team" t-shirt and jokingly waving a Superman figurine in slow motion.
The fate of Superman has been questioned after the publication of an article by The Hollywood Reporter asserting that Cavill would no longer represent the man of steel.
In the room, THR reports that Cavill separates from Warner Bros. after the contract talks between his representatives and the studio did not go as planned regarding his presentation of Superman in the upcoming action movie Shazam!
The report then noted that the new objective is on a Super Girl movie, and that the studio has no plans for a new solo Superman movie anytime.
Warner Bros. sent the rumors in a statement to ET, stating: "Although no decision has been made regarding future Superman films, we have always had great respect and an excellent relationship with Henry Cavill, and it remains unchanged.
Dany Garcia, Cavill's representative and Dwayne's ex-wife "The Rock" Johnson, hinted that Cavill was not hanging up his cloak yet.
"Be quiet, the cloak is still in her closet," she tweeted. "@Wbpictures has been and continues to be our partners in the evolution of the DC Universe."
according to THR, Ben Affleck – who played Batman alongside Cavill in the damning movie of 2016 Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice – We do not expect him to resume his role of Crusader Caped, even if it has not been confirmed yet.
