LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL (WESH) – A food worker at a Disney Springs restaurant has recently been diagnosed with hepatitis A.
The Florida Department of Health in Orange County (DOH-Orange) has discovered a hepatitis A infection in a food service employee at Morimoto Asia Restaurant located at 1600 East Buena Vista Drive in Lake Buena Vista , officials said Wednesday.

According to health officials, anyone who consumed food or beverages at this restaurant from November 6 to 16, 2018 would have been exposed to the hepatitis A virus.
Clients should monitor the symptoms of hepatitis A, including the sudden onset of abdominal discomfort, dark urine, fever, diarrhea and jaundice of the skin and eyes (jaundice) . Anyone with these symptoms should seek medical attention promptly.
The vaccine against hepatitis A or immunoglobulins (IG) can offer protection against the disease if they are administered within two weeks of exposure. Therefore, those who consumed food or beverages at the restaurant between November 6 and 19, 2018 should promptly contact their health care provider for vaccination. People who have had hepatitis A or who have already received two doses of the vaccine against hepatitis A do not need to be vaccinated again against hepatitis A.
