Once again, there was plenty of choice of games on this beautiful evening of Tuesday night, with eight games in the books, including a number of intriguing matches.
In the Eastern Conference, the Raptors rebounded after their first defeat of the season by beating another of the conference 's top teams, the 76ers. In addition, the Pistons were nearly avenged the defeat they suffered against the Celtics last week when the two teams met in Boston, but ended up losing a close victory.
Later, there were some interesting West Conference encounters, highlighted by the Trail Blazers who beat the Rockets for the fifth time in six games.

There is a good chance that the Raptors and the 76ers will meet at some point in the playoffs of the Eastern Conference, and we have just got a good look. The Raptors pulled out in the fourth quarter with 31 points from Kawhi Leonard and a career-high 15 rebounds from Pascal Siakam. Toronto improves to 7-1 while the Sixers fall to 4-4.
Simmons gets a triple-double … with turnovers
Looking at the number of goals, you might think that Ben Simmons has just added another of his iconic triple-doubles, but at second glance, you'll notice that his third two-digit total has entered an uncertain category: turnovers. Simmons scored 11 goals, a career high, while Leonard gave him a night all night. He had never returned the ball more than seven times in a match before Tuesday.
Rockets looking for answers
Houston has won 65 games last season and so far this year, they have won … a match. The Rockets have once again struggled without James Harden in training, being fooled by Trail Blazers at home. The last defeat, which takes their record to 1-5, leaves coach Mike D 'Antoni in search of answers.
