Two visitors died in Yosemite National Park after falling as a result of an accident, the National Parks Service said in a statement Thursday.

The rangers in the park were trying to retrieve the bodies of the fallen man and woman from Taft Point, a heavily used fortress at an altitude of 7,500 feet, starting at 2:00 pm. AND. Deaths are currently the subject of an investigation, but no other information is still available, including the identity of visitors, the statement said. Yosemite is located in the mountains of Sierra Nevada California.

This is not the first time this year that visitors face a danger in Yosemite. Tomer Frankfurter, an Israeli teenager, died of Nevada Fall last month. Two hikers died in June during the climb of El Capitan and another died during the ascent of the Half Dome in May.
