Hillary Clinton will travel to Palm Beach County to raise funds for the Democratic Gov. Andrew Gillum campaign Tuesday at Manalapan, the home of Democrat megadon Marsha and Henry Laufer.
Tickets range from $ 250 to $ 2,500 for lunch. Gillum and Clinton are expected to participate in another fundraiser in South Florida on Tuesday. As of Friday afternoon, no public event is scheduled with Gillum and the Democratic presidential candidate 2016.
The Laufers held a reception for Clinton in April 2016 while she was pursuing the Democratic nomination for the presidency. Tickets for this event ranged from $ 500 to $ 33,400.
Henry and Marsha Laufer have largely contributed to PAC and Democratic candidates, including $ 6.5 million since 2012 towards Priorities USA, the main vehicle for the re-election of former President Barack Obama in 2012 and the 2016 campaign of Hillary Clinton, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.
Henry Laufer also gave $ 4 million to the PAC, to the majority Democratic Senate, and one million to the liberal CAP, American Bridge. Marsha Laufer paid $ 755,000 this year to the Gillum Forward PAC.
The mayor of Tallahassee, Gillum, approved Clinton at the 2016 primaries and spoke at the Democratic National Convention of the same year. But it's Clinton's rival for the Democratic nomination in 2016, Sen. Bernie Sanders, who gave Gillum a boost at this year's Florida Democratic primary for governor. Gillum and the progressive icon Sanders participated together in rallies a few weeks before Gillum won the Democratic primaries with a 34.4% majority.
