The fans of "Murphy Brown" have received a much anticipated welcome from Hillary Clinton.

The former Democratic presidential candidate made a surprise appearance as Murphy's last candidate (Candice Bergen) as secretary. When Murphy observes that she looks like someone else, Clinton replies, "My name is written with an" L. ""

Clinton continues to reassure her potential employer: "For four years I have been secretary of a very large organization," adding "I have experience with emails".

The show took a lot of other shots on the current state of politics and media. Murphy's son, Avery (Jake McDorman), returns to Washington to work for the Wolf Network, where Murphy notes that "all men are conspiracy theorists and all women are dead behind the eyes."

When Avery points out that people across the country "deserve a voice," she says, "They have one, he's orange, lives in the oval office and is Facebook's friend with Putin."

"Murphy Brown" will air on Thursdays on CBS (9:30 am EDT / PDT).
