Hillary Clinton will lead the first public campaign of 2018

The event, which will include Juliana Stratton, candidate for the post of lieutenant governor of the Democrats, will be a roundtable with high school girls and will focus on the importance of leadership, according to the Pritzker campaign.

Clinton has spent much of 2018 coming out of the political melee or fundraising headlines for a handful of Democratic groups and campaigns. Major party members feared that Clinton's return to the country could not reinvigorate the Republicans who rejected it in 2016.

This question is less serious in Illinois, where early voting began. Clinton grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and won the state by 17 percentage points in 2016. Polls have consistently shown that Pritzker was one step ahead of his opponent, the Republican, Governor Bruce Rauner .

Pritzker has long been a fundraiser and a prolific Democratic donor and has supported the failure of Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign. Clinton also helped Pritzker during his Democratic primary by recording a phone call for the billionaire entrepreneur.

Clinton is also not the first heavyweight Democrat to campaign for Pritzker. Former President Barack Obama, who came to power in Chicago, last month pronounced an accusation against President Donald Trump in central Illinois, before going to a café with Pritzker.

Later this month, Clinton will feature an event with Andrew Gillum, the Democratic nominee for the governing governorate in Florida, replacing Clinton's election campaign in 2016.
