HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) –
The 87th annual Christmas Parade in Hollywood will help ring during the holiday season as it passes through Tinsletown Sunday night.
Hollywood Boulevard between La Brea Avenue and Orange Drive and a few surrounding streets is in a no-tow zone. Some streets will be blocked until midnight.
The parade will follow a 3 km route that will start on Hollywood Boulevard and Orange Drive, moving east on Hollywood, south on Vine Street and west on Sunset Boulevard to Orange.
The parade will begin at 6 pm, but before 5 pm there will be a concert featuring performances by Donny and Marie Osmond, Beach Boys and Ludacris.
The parade will feature a number of celebrities, as well as famous Hollywood vehicles, including the Batmobile, a "Magnum P.I." Ferrari, DeLoreans "Back to the Future" and the mysterious machine "Scooby Doo", to name a few.
And, of course, the parade will end with an appearance of Santa Claus.
The Christmas Parade in Hollywood took place for the first time in 1928, at the time, it was called "Santa Claus Parade."
