Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson steps out of her comfort zone.
Tuesday's episode of Dance with the stars, ABC revealed the 12 celebrity kids competing for the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars: Juniors – which includes the 13-year-old reality TV star.
As Thompson says "nervous" to embark on the trip, his excitement has canceled his fear.
"I have never watched the show before to be honest," said Thompson, who is associated with Tristan Ianiero and supervised by Artem Chigvintsev. "I wanted to do it because when they asked me, I thought it was something I had never done and that it would be great fun and a great experience. So I thought, let's do it!
But as she started the rehearsals, the reality began to come into place.
"I've reached a breaking point at some point," she admits. "Mackenzie Ziegler is on the show and I thought," I will never be better than her. "But I kind of succeeded because you do not have to be the best dancer to win, it's not just about being the best dancer, it's about having fun too.
"And everyone around me was so encouraging," she adds. "Some days I was very nervous and frustrated, but Artem and Tristan supported me and said that I was going to be great.
