A hospital in Cincinnati said that one of the two people who survived gunshot wounds during an attack in a downtown building had been released.
The University of Cincinnati Medical Center has not identified the patient released, citing privacy restrictions. However, Whitney Austin's husband said earlier in the day that he had met Brian Sarver, the fifth contractor and his family, and that Sarver would soon return home.
Waller Austin said in a statement that his wife "still has a long way to go to recover, both physically and mentally". Fifth Third Bancorp Vice President, 37, mother of two, was shot and wounded at least 12 times on September 6th. She was first hospitalized in critical condition, but has improved.
Four people, including the gunman, were killed.

The husband of a Fifth Third Bancorp executive who is recovering from being shot at least 12 times offers thanks to the Cincinnati police and other first responders who helped save his life.
Waller Austin states in a statement that his wife Whitney Austin "still has a long way to go to recover". Vice-president of the regional banker based in Cincinnati, she improved in good conditions after being admitted in critical condition on September 6 after the bank shots killed four people, including the gunman.
Austin says that they are still trying to figure out how she survived after the shooter fired at her.
He says they are "so grateful" for the bravery of the officers who opened fire to end the rampage.

The lobby of the Fifth Third Bancorp headquarters building remains closed on Monday as investigators continue to try to find out why a 29-year-old man opened fire in the downtown Cincinnati tower.
A fifth CFO and two contractors were killed on Thursday. A bank vice-president and another contractor remain hospitalized in good conditions with gunshot wounds.
Stacie Haas, spokesperson for the company, says advisors are available for employees.
Omar Enrique Santa Perez shot randomly in the hall until the police shot him. Police said they had about 250 rounds for their legally purchased 9mm handgun.
Police say that he has never worked there and that an apartment search did not explain the attack.
