Houston man allegedly beats girlfriend to death with baseball bat
A woman was beaten to death with a baseball bat early Sunday after a fight with her boyfriend, according to Houston police.
It’s not clear why the couple started arguing around 2:30 a.m. in the 300 block of Sidney in Second Ward. But at some point, the man grabbed a bat and allegedly hit his girlfriend in the head repeatedly.

She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and later died. The boyfriend – who police say admitted he’d been fighting with the slain woman – was taken into custody.
Authorities did not immediately release his name or details about what charges he’s expected to face.
