HOUSTON (AP) – Houston city officials have ordered the halt, at least temporarily, of the Canadian company's plan to open a "brothel of robots" in the city.

The Houston Chronicle reports that building inspectors ordered the shutdown after determining that KinkySDollS did not have the necessary permits for demolition and construction.

The company has been repelled by community groups and local officials.

Last month, KinkySdollS announced on Facebook its intention to open a "brothel of dolls of love" in Houston. It would be the second site of the company and the first in the United States.

According to KinkySdollS on social media, his dolls are available for sale or rent and can talk. Mayor Sylvester Turner says he's not trying to be the "moral police", but that's not the kind of work he wants in the city.
