Iron fist just received a major blow. Netflix has announced that it will not renew the Marvel series for a third season. Relatively fresh, actor Finn Jones, who portrayed Danny Rand, aka Iron Fist, on the show reacted to the news. Jones used Instagram to express his feelings about the cancellation. It looks like he's taking it very fast. the Game of thrones alum also expressed a lot of gratitude for his position. That his time playing Iron Fist is over is coming. Although the character's solo series has been canceled, it could reappear elsewhere. That said, we do not know yet if Finn Jones would play it again. It seems like Disney wants to bring the character back for content on his streaming service.
The decision to end the series is a surprise. The first in spring 2017, Netflix has renewed for a second season later this summer. The cancellation of the broadcast comes a little over a month since season 2 ceded to the streaming service in early September. Finn Jones not only played the role of Iron Fist on his own Netflix series, but took over the role in The defenders and during the second season of Luke Cage.
Only time will tell if Finn Jones will appear as the character of one of the other Marvel shows. Iron fistThe official Twitter account of said that "the story is never over". Given the turn that ended the series, the fans really want some follow-up or closure.
Iron fist is the first Marvel series on Netflix to be officially canceled. Now the show will be inscribed in the record books, but not as he would have probably hoped.
For Finn Jones, this marks the last chapter of a career that has seen him play in two of the most important television channels of the last decade. He played as Loras Tyrell on Game of thrones for several seasons. Jones left the series due to an outing dictated by a story that took place as part of the explosive finale of Season 6 of the series. The following year, he debuted as a leader of the Iron fist.
Thus, Finn Jones went from the limelight to a behemoth of pop culture to participation in another, the Netflix pane of the Marvel film universe. Time will tell where Jones will end up next. Having already appeared in a Netflix series, he could just as easily see another one. As for other series Netflix Marvel, they will continue. The third installment of Daredevil the premiere of Oct. 19 on Netflix, and the series of superheroes will not be the only new content to arrive on the streaming giant this fall.
