Delta Airlines will begin offering the first transatlantic flights from the Indianapolis International Airport to Paris in the spring of 2018. The new flight will begin May 24 and will be the first direct flight from Indy outside of North America.

The airline now charges $ 30 for the first piece of checked luggage, against $ 25 and $ 40 for the second piece of checked luggage, against $ 35, according to the Delta website. This is the price charged by JetBlue and United.
JetBlue opened the way last August, becoming the first major US carrier to charge $ 30 for the first checked bag. United Airlines matched them less than a week later. Canadian carriers WestJet Airlines and Air Canada also increased their transportation costs in August.

With new Delta prices in place, IndyStar has compiled a list of baggage screening costs on all airlines serving the Indianapolis International Airport. These prices are provided by the airline for standard baggage fees and do not reflect loyalty programs or special promotions.
Air Canada
For flights within the United States, Air Canada allows passengers to check the first bag for free, a second $ 70 bag and additional bags of $ 225 each, depending on the airline's baggage calculator. .
For flights between the United States and Canada, $ 30 for the first bag, $ 50 for the second, and $ 100 for each additional bag.
Allegiant Air
The airline offers varying prices depending on how you book, your reservation and the desired route. If they are purchased at the time of booking, the fees for the first and second checked baggage can reach $ 35 per piece. The specific amount depends on your airports of departure and arrival.

United charges $ 30 for the first bag, $ 40 for the second and $ 150 for all additional bags. For international flights, the first bag is free and the second, 100 dollars.
