The fast-food pizza brand will allow customers to redeem their lost tickets for a free cheese pie for a drink on Wednesdays at participating locations across the country.

"When we learned what the chances of winning the jackpot were, we could not help but feel everyone who was disappointed," said Mimi Wunderlich, director of communications and digital marketing for Villa Italian Kitchen in a press release. "A slice of free pizza does not cost a billion dollars, but hopefully it will still make someone's day." "

According to the fine print, a losing official lottery ticket with the draw date of October 23 is required for the exchange and no photocopies will be accepted. The ticket will also be kept by the store and "will not be returned to the guest for any reason".

7-Eleven has a way to win a prize even if you do not buy the Mega Millions winning ticket.

It's at least a way to stay caffeinated while waiting to know the winning numbers.

Due to the haste of Mega Millions, the largest chain of convenience stores in the country offers free coffee cups from Tuesday through midnight to members of its 7Rewards loyalty program.

Rewards members can get a free coffee or tea by scanning a coupon on the smartphone app of the chain. There is no need to buy a ticket to get the freebie, according to 7-Eleven.

The Mega Millions lottery jackpot Tuesday night is the highest of all time in the history of the US lottery, with $ 1.6 billion.

The offer is available until midnight in each time zone and at participating stores nationwide. There is a limit of one cup free per customer until stocks run out.
