How to watch the July 4th show in New York

Fireworks will be held tonight across the country to celebrate America's 242nd anniversary. No matter where you live, you will probably have a choice of several great shows. But there is something unique to see fireworks on Manhattan. This year, Macy's will host its 42nd "Spectacular of Fireworks on July 4th", which will culminate in a dazzling fireworks show on the East River of New York just south of Roosevelt Island. The event will feature performances by Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and Ricky Martin, among others.

If you can not go to New York to see the show, or if you're like me and you just want to avoid crowds, noise and traffic- NBC will broadcast the event to from 20 hours. AND . TV-less viewers can access a live stream via the NBC website or mobile apps on iOS or Android. Disclaimer: You must have pay-TV identification information from a cable or satellite company to access the stream in this manner.

If you do not have a pay-TV connection, try one of the many streaming services available on NBC's live stream. These include Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, Hulu with Live TV, YouTube TV, and DirecTV Now.
