Fatima Ali, alum of "Top Chef", revealed it the cancer came back "with revenge".

In an emotional essay published Tuesday at Bon Appetit, Ali, 29, says doctors have determined that his diagnosis was incurable and final.

"My oncologist told me that I had one year to live with, with or without the new chemotherapy regimen," she writes. "I was looking forward to being 30 years old, being flirty and flourishing.I guess I need to intensify flirting.I have no time to waste."

The New York City Chief was diagnosed last year with a rare form of bone cancer, Ewings' Sarcoma, shortly after participating in Season 15 of "Top Chef" in Colorado. Ali finished seventh in the reality TV contest and was voted fan favorite.

In January, she underwent chemotherapy and surgery to remove a tumor from her shoulder bone. His host "Top Chef" Padma Lakshmi was at his side.

In September, doctors told the television channel that the cancer cells they thought had disappeared spread to the left hip and femur. She adds that she suspects "I will not last very long".

"They think I'm brave, but really, I'm not, I'm afraid," Ali writes. "There is a slight sensation at the bottom of my belly that looks like a hubbub of air that expands and fills up slowly until one day, I will appear."

Despite his fear, Ali claims to have accepted his final diagnosis: "A strange feeling of relief has settled in me, knowing that I can finally live for myself, even if it is only for a few months more valuable. "

Although Ali had to give up his dream of owning a restaurant, the chef plans to spend the time she has left immersed in the finest dishes in world-renowned restaurants, including Noma, two Michelin stars, and Chef's Table , in Brooklyn Fare.

"Every day is an opportunity for me to live something new, I have an ever longer list of those I have to visit," she writes. "I'm sketching out a plan to eat my way through New York and neighborhoods as long as I can."
