Ice-T arrested in a very special episode of Law & Order: The Port Authority

Add "Black driving in the EZ-Pass queue when you do not have EZ-Pass or license plates" to the list of tasks you can not do.

Wait … it might be on the list of things you can not do, regardless of your race.

From TMZ:

Ice-T crossed a bridge toll to New York and the police beat it for that … TMZ learned.

The security forces told TMZ that Ice had been stopped Wednesday morning by the Port Authority police for toll evasion while it was approaching the George Washington Bridge, the New Jersey side. We were told that he tried to cross the E-ZPass … way for drivers who paid tolls in advance with a transmitter, but Ice did not work.

Ice-T apparently did not understand this and continued driving his all-new McLaren sports car, but was soon stopped by cops.

Our sources stated that the police had discovered that the McLaren was not registered. They stopped him for escaping the toll and gave him a ticket for the unregistered vehicle. Not surprisingly, the exotic car was noticed by passersby on the road.

Well, let me defend my boy, Ice-T. I also got into trouble with the Nazis EZ-Pass. Ice-T claims that he forgot his, I just did not know there was no money on my account and automatic replenishment had failed me.

EZ-Pass is an obsolete technology! You do not know if it works or not, and the authorities do not even need it in this damn state of surveillance in which we live. Each toll station has the option to scan your license plate and send you an invoice. The fact of having to deal with EZ-Pass has happened so much for about ten years.

To stop a man from taking the EZ-Pass route without a working EZ-Pass is ridiculous. We could drastically reduce police brutality if we stopped allowing the police to fire or arrest people for such stupid bullshit. Ice-T could have been served with a huge ticket, as I was, in the mail. Then he could have paid or fought in traffic court. In any case, his life would have been safer if he had simply been sent an electronic ticket.

Except for the part where his car was not registered. Like … it does not look good, brother. But all the rest is BS. Cops should not intercept people for EZ-Pass violations. People can pay the fine without having to deal with the damn police.
