ICYMI: Bears expel bills; Bulls and Blackhawks take the lead

The Bears rolled into upstate New York while the Bulls and Blackhawks continued to lose streaks over the weekend. Here's what you may have missed in Chicago sports this weekend.

Bear

The Bears eliminated the 41-9 Bills to improve at 5-3 midway through the season. The victory of the explosion was against a 2-7 team, but is still a good sign of things to come. Teams that eliminate multiple teams tend to play in the playoffs. Now the team can count on three consecutive games against North NFC.

Before the game, the big news was that Khalil Mack and Allen Robinson were both inactive due to an injury. Kevin White, meanwhile, was inactive and not for reasons of discipline or health.

bulls

The Bulls finished a family circuit of four games, and it was not good. Friday, the Bulls lost to the 107-105 Pacers, which was the second consecutive loss to the Bulls after their loss to the Nuggets by a point in overtime on Wednesday. Antonio Blakeney has been hot lately and was the first player, with the exception of Zach LaVine, to lead the Bulls scoring in a game of the season.

The host family is over against the Rockets on Saturday. The Bulls were held at a low point of the season by 88 points in a fourth straight loss and dropped to 2-8 overall. The good news is that Wendell Carter Jr. is playing well and looks like a young beginner of the year.

Blackhawks

While the Bulls occupied the United Center for four consecutive games, the Blackhawks took the road. A three-game trip to the West Coast resulted in three consecutive losses in regulation. Duncan Keith was ejected and the Blackhawks conceded the final four goals of the game in a 5-3 loss. The Blackhawks have lost five games in a row, but at least players like the team's jersey.

Anthony Rizzo won his second gold, sharing the honor with the first goal of the National League with Freddie Freeman of Atlanta. Javy Baez and Jason Heyward were also finalists, but they did not win.

For the White Sox, Adam Engel was beaten by Jackie Bradley Jr. of Boston in the middle of the field.
