India announced Thursday that it would participate, "at an unofficial level", in the meeting organized by Russia on Afghanistan, which will be attended by representatives of the Taliban.

Following the talks, the two sides declared, in a joint statement, their support for the Afghan government's efforts to establish an Afghan-led national peace process.
