His big toe is about equal to a basketball hoop.

It would be necessary to climb in the air at 182 meters to reach the top of the Statue of Unity, the highest statue in the world and a tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, an Indian independence leader who played a crucial role in the union of a torn country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was present on Wednesday – the birthday of Mr. Patel, known as the Day of National Unity – to unveil the mammoth statue, which overlooks the green hills and the Narmada River, in the West of Gujarat.

For perspective: it's almost twice the height of the Statue of Liberty, which, with its base, reaches 305 feet. Without her pedestal, it would take more than five Lady Libertys standing to reach the statue's head (or four if you count the end of her torch).

It is the equivalent of almost two American football fields superimposed, less the goal areas.
